Geong Sen Poh

Security and Privacy, with interests in searchable encryption, private record linkage, as well as applications of privacy-preserving techniques for machine learning and deep packet inspection.

Bio:

Geong Sen is currently the Assistant Director of S-Lab for Advanced Intelligence, NTU. Before joining NTU, he was a member of the NUS-Singtel Cyber Security R & D Lab, Singapore. He was affiliated with Trustwave, a Singtel Company. He was also adjunct Assistant Professor at School of Computing, NUS. He led projects as Principal Investigators (PIs) and Co-PIs. Prior to this, he was a senior research fellow with the Department of Computer Science, School of Computing, NUS. Before joining NUS, Geong Sen served as Assistant Professor and Dean for the Centre for Research and Industrial Collaboration at University of Computer Science and Engineering, Malaysia. He was also staff researcher at MIMOS Berhad, a Malaysia Government's ICT centre involved in industry-driven projects, solutions and IT policy setting. He obtained his PhD from the Information Security Group, Royal Holloway, University of London.
